PSG Has Moved to EDGE. 3 Dates Singapore SMEs Should Know.

PSG Has Moved to EDGE. 3 Dates Singapore SMEs Should Know.

Two big changes have already happened. PSG, EDG and MRA closed for new applications on 29 September, and EDGE took over the next day, along with a new portal called BizSG. If you missed that window, there’s no going back, but there’s still real ground ahead. Three more dates are landing before the year ends, and they matter just as much.

Here’s where things stand right now.

Date What happens Status
29 Sept 2026 PSG, EDG and MRA closed for new applications Already happened
30 Sept 2026 EDGE Grant and the new BizSG portal took over Already happened
1 Nov 2026 Xero's Singapore pricing rises across all plans Coming up
Nov 2026 SME Cash Grant pays out automatically, up to S$2,500, no application needed Coming up
30 Nov 2026 SFEC (SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit) expires, unused balances are lost Coming up

What Already Happened, and What It Means Now

PSG, EDG and MRA are done. If you didn’t get an application in before 29 September, that door’s closed, and EDGE is the only route forward from here for this type of support. If you already had something approved, or a claim moving through the system before the cutover, Enterprise Singapore has confirmed it’s still being processed normally, so nothing changes for you there.

EDGE and BizSG are both live now. EDGE covers up to S$100,000 per company per year, and for the first time, non-SMEs can access this kind of support too, generally at a lower rate than SMEs get.

BizSG, the new AI-powered portal meant to replace the old patchwork of separate agency websites, is also up and running, recommending the right support for your business instead of leaving you to search across several sites yourself.

1 November - Xero's Prices Go Up

This is confirmed, an official announcement made by Xero. Standard goes from $70 to $77 a month, Premium from $95 to $99, and Starter from $39 to $42. It happens no matter which grant scheme is running at the time.

November - SME Cash Grant Pays Out

A flat payout, up to S$2,500 depending on your headcount, arriving on its own with no application involved. It isn’t tied to any particular purchase, so it won’t directly reduce a software bill, but it’s genuine cash landing in the same stretch of time as everything else here.

30 November - SFEC Expires

SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit, the S$10,000 many companies were given but haven’t fully used, disappears after this date if it’s sitting untouched.

About half of eligible companies still haven’t touched their SFEC balance. If that sounds like you, it’s worth checking on its own, separate from everything else here, since whatever’s left simply disappears once the date passes.

If a Software Decision Is Part of Your Picture

Not every business needs to weigh these the same way. But if a software or digitalisation project, particularly anything involving Xero, is even loosely on your mind for this year, the three remaining dates all end up mattering to that one decision specifically.

PSG’s already moved on to EDGE, but there’s still real ground to cover before the year’s out, especially if Xero is anywhere in your plans. FAQs

For a new application, yes, that window's closed. But if you already had a project approved or a claim in progress before 29 September, that's unaffected and continues as normal. Anything new from here on goes through EDGE instead.

Not necessarily. The SME Cash Grant comes down to your headcount and revenue. SFEC only matters if your company was actually issued a balance in the first place. Xero's price rise only matters if Xero, specifically, is part of your plans. It’s worth checking which of these genuinely touch your business before assuming all three do.

BizSG, now live, is meant to become that single reference point going forward, recommending the right support based on your business rather than leaving you to search separate agency pages.

Yes. It expires 30 November regardless of anything else on this list, so if there's a balance sitting in your account, using it before that date is the straightforward move.
