About This Course:

This immersive two-day workshop is designed to equip learners with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to process business transactions within an organization’s accounting system. Through a focus on double-entry accounting, regulatory frameworks, and internal reporting needs, participants will learn how to accurately apply accounting principles to a variety of routine transactions. By engaging in hands-on activities such as recording sales, purchases, accruals, and preparing basic financial reports, learners will develop the proficiency required to support reliable financial reporting and internal decision-making processes.

What You Will Learn:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• LO1: Apply the principles of double-entry accounting to accurately record transactions and events, including sales, purchases, receivables, payables, and cash.

• LO2: Process financial transactions related to inventories, accruals, and prepayments in accordance with the regulatory framework for financial reporting

• LO3: Produce basic financial reports, including cash flow statements, that address the reporting needs of internal stakeholders

Course Duration and Mode: 16 hours (Classroom Learning with Assessments)

Who Should Attend:

· Existing and aspiring Accounts Executive, Accounts Assistant, Senior Accounts Executive, Tax Associate, Tax Executive, Tax Senior Executive, and Bookeepers.

· Non-Accounting Line Managers required to monitor and make use of financial data

Entry Requirements:

· At least a Higher NITEC certification or equivalent, or at least 2 years of bookkeeping-related work experience

· Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5

· Be proficient users of either a Windows or Apple Laptop

· No prior work experience is required
